The United IMO Christian Network, a massive grassroot organization of God's people from different denomination in IMO state has demonstrated their commitment to ensure maximum support to government for better IMO state.
Speaking to newsmen in owerri the IMO state capital shortly after their general executive meeting , the state chairman for the United IMO Christian Network, Rev Emmanuel Amaefule - Ph.D, advocated that the church is the last hope of the society hence should not be on the fence and watch events rather should show support to government for good success.
According to Dr. Emma Amaefule he said," Indeed, God has made his people the Christians to be the light, with a mandate to show forth the light. Hence, it will be wrong for this light to shine only in a hidden place while darkness keep covering the whole area and the people. In fact, the lack of maximum support to our government by the church is the beginning of our problems as a state. But now the church in IMO state has raising under the umbrella of United IMO Christian Network to ensure massive support for the state government across the 305 wards in IMO state".
In another development, the state chairman for the United IMO Christian Network, Dr. Emma Amaefule maintained that the organization is charged with the responsibility to reorient IMO people on the alternative to violence/crime as well as instilling the values of integrity, good governance and character as antidotes to corruption. " We are out to effectively support our leaders and government for success. And to ensure intercessory prayers in all the 27 local government areas and the 305 ward's for God's help, grace, wisdom to our leaders in government and for the state in general"- Dr Emmanuel Amaefule said.
It was gathered that the United IMO Christian Network are made up of church leaders from different striata of the Christian association's in IMO state hence now the massive grassroot religious structure for the IMO state government .
