The leadership of United IMO Christian Network in orlu zone has advocated for effective empowerment of IMO people at the grassroots in various communities in the state with a view to reduce tension and pain.
Speaking to newsmen recently in owerri, the state deputy chairman Elder Charles M. Ndubuisi lamented that the solution to the challenges in IMO state particularly in orlu zone can be possibly have an end if the state government can provide employment and soft loan opportunities to the people living at the grassroots in our communities. He pointed out that those actors of insecurity and other social vices in orlu zone and in IMO state can change if they find something meaningful to do.
According to the state deputy chairman for the United IMO Christian Network Bro Charles M. Ndubuisi he said, " In fact, from my consultations with our Ideato South cc ordinator Pastor Edwin Okejaku and some other Local government area co ordinators in Orlu zone, as well as our Orlu zonal co ordinator Pastor Ebubechi, it was obvious that the people needs real empowerment. No doubt, the challenges of the subsidy removal has added more pain and hunger to the people of the zone hence the youths and others are now pressed to do anything to survive. Again, this has always led to the cause of various degree of crimes such as kidnapping, killings among others. In deed, the provision of employment, soft loan and some palliatives to the people will bring a permanent solution to the current challenge in Orlu zone and IMO state in general ".
In another development, Bro Charles Ndubuisi commended the IMO state governor Sen. Hope Uzodinma for his empowerment programs in the state capital hence plead for the extension of such people oriented program to the people living in various communities in IMO state , which includes the youths, women and men.
