Agbobu Autonomous Community in Okigwe LGA in Imo State has cried out over incessant marginalization and called on Governor Hope Uzodimma for immediate intervention.
In a statement signed by the community's critical stakeholder in Diaspora,Chief Boss Mmadu,Agbobu people stated that they can only have a sigh of fresh breathe if Governor Uzodimma should fast track the ongoing quality road construction linking Ideato North to Okigwe expressway which will boost the economic activities of the Area as well as benefiting the entire State
The statement read,"though the contractors are no more on site. People are lamenting over political marginalization on them,where they have been denied of equal participation in the elective portfolio of Okigwe Local Government Area and State appointments. Agbobu Ward think well for the State and so deserves the best from the State. There is no Government infrastructural presence in Agbobu and the only secondary school which is the coalition centre of the ward is completely dilapidated, hence this call for urgent attention from both the Federal and State Governments for prompt interventions.
As we reconnect to Charter of Equity; whatever any Patriotic Agbobu Citizen is seeking for is equitable inclusion in the helms of affairs, politically and appointments".
It further read,"as we celebrate the first time emergence of a Distinguished Senator from Okigwe LGA extraction, SEN PATRICK NDUBUEZE, we view it that the Charter of Equity will be extended to other spheres to account for the cries and soft agitation of the people of the strategically located Agbobu in Okigwe LGA".
"we,also wished to use this privilege to congratulate the workaholic SOLAD of Okigwe LGA,HON. LOLO NKECHI MBONU for her numerous achievements within the LGA , obviously, she has outperformed her predecessors".

Agbobu ward is large in land mark and population, Agbobu has always been contributing their quotas in development, peace , unity, security, progress and economical growth of OKIGWE LGA .
Agbobu has always been contributing and participating in Elections and has never been involved in any Electoral crisis in Okigwe LGA .
Agbobu is most marginalized and insulted community in Okigwe LGA .
Agbobu is most neglected people in Okigwe LGA .
Agbobu is most abused community in Okigwe LGA .
Agbobu is the only community without any Federal, State or LGA projects apart from the road which is still under construction,although the contractors are no more on the site.
Agbobu is the only Community that has never experienced any Federal and State appointments or has ever been elected as LGA or DEPUTY Chairman or H.O.A. member
Agbobu is only remembered during elections and are forgotten, abandoned and neglected during appointments and sharing positions .
Apart from their statutory rights of councilor,Agbobu has never been elected to head of any position in Okigwe LGA ,
Agbobu has never been elected as HOA member, LGA chairman or deputy chairman or even appointed SA , PA or to head of any commission in Imo State and Okigwe LGA.
AGBOBU IS MOST MARGINALIZED COMMUNITY IN OKIGWE LGA, POLITICAL, INFRASTRUCTURALYand otherwise
we must understand that Crisis, protests , agitations and resistance is as a result of when anyone, body ,group, community or entity feels marginalized or abandoned by government.
The leaders of OKIGWE LGA must understand that you can never beat a child and ask him or her not to cry .
