The serving member representing Aboh State Constituency and Deputy Chief Whip of Imo State House of Assembly,Rt. Hon. Edward Obinna has predicted landslide victory for Governor Hope Uzodimma in November 11,2023 governorship election.
Speaking to newsmen on Tuesday in his office at Imo House of Assembly Complex,Owerri,Rt. Hon. Obinna stated that Governor Uzodimma's tangible and intangible achievements will earn him another opportunity to serve Imo people.
He enumerated Governor Hope Uzodimma's tangible achievements to include rehabilitation of quality roads,schools, building and equipping hospitals as well as intangible strides such as approving #40,000 minimum wage, payment of workers salaries and pensions as at when due and creation of all-inclusive governance through mutual synergy with the State Legislative Arm.
The House of Assembly Deputy Chief Whip described the recent All Progressives Congress, APC flag-off rally for Uzodimma's re-election bid which saw presence of about 14 serving governors and Senator Rochas Okorocha in Owerri as a carnival adding that the event indicated that APC remains one indivisible family.
"Former Governor Rochas Okorocha saw Governor Hope Uzodimma's tremendous records,that's why he joined his campaign train. Okorocha has proved those saying that he is working for opposition parties wrong. People can now know whom he stands for. This is the time to work together as party faithful and deliver our candidate. Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma is easy to market because of his track records . Look at his physical achievements,youths empowerment programmes. It is now glaring that Imo people need no more opposition parties. We're going to vote for continuity so that the good works will continue",he stated.
According to him,"my Aboh Mbaise people have pitched tent with Governor Hope Uzodimma and will deliver him in the forthcoming Imo State off-cycle gubernatorial election. I am happy that you spotted me today in my office here in the House of Assembly and as a staunch member of APC,we are leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that Governor Hope Uzodimma wins with a wide margin in the forthcoming Guber poll. It might interest people to know that I am still in charge of Aboh Mbaise in Imo State House of Assembly. I have a little miscarriage of justice in the election petition tribunal which I am already challenging at the Appeal court".
