The Imo State President, Nigeria Union Of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Mr Richard Eze have been cleared of the recent embezzlement saga as sources declared issues of dead NULGE members welfare fund as a falsehood.
According to them, Pastor Richard Eze has brought renovations and objective oriented leadership in Imo State branch of the Union.
Pointed out that the allegations against the Frontline workers friendly leadership of the NULGE President Pastor Eze is only the work of mischief makers to tarnish the image of the Union Chief Servant.
It would be recalled that those hiding under the aegis of the Union members to destroyed the hard-earned image of the Astute Administrator, Pastor Eze to gain cheap popularity and blackmail him to dance their abracadabra song against the interest of the local government workers are only making mistakes because no amount of such will cajole him to chicken out.
In the purported write up allegations said that
"Pastor Eze would be facing legal battle by aggrieved stakeholders over allegation of Embezzlement Of funds made for deceased and retired members of NULGE in Imo". It's good to mention the proper figure, who give the money to whom?.
Eze, who was also accused of constituting an illegitimate caretaker leadership in the twenty seven Local Government Councils in Imo State and tenure elongation issues are all a union matters and inline with the Union's constitutional provisions and not out of place even when there is a lacuna in the system the constitution provides for the installation of caretaker.
It was further revealed that Mr Eze led administration of NULGE in Imo State, since four years have not paid retired and deceased members their constitutional entitlements as falsehood but rather the State Government suspension of the welfare fund caused the Union to use alternative measures to ensure that the deceased members family are care for.
"Even the check-off Dues made for the members, according to them was diverted for some months without conducting LG chapter election as another falsehood by the detractors.
"He has been frustrating every effort to conduct election so that he would continue to Embezzle our funds, caretaker leadership is very strange to NULGE Constitution. President Richard Eze shall meet us in the Court as soon as we conclude our consultations with relevant authorities." They alleged.
"Another member who did not want her name on print told our correspondent that president Eze is currently bribing some stakeholders to elongate his tenure of office for the second time to enable him embezzle more funds".
"The source further Revealed that Eze has relocated his wife and children to London where they currently reside".
These are all gimmicks to destroyed the image of the Union and incite the government who has remained workers friendly one as majority of the workers are strongly behind the NULGE President Pastor Eze in all ramifications and will continue to support him no matter the interest of the few disgruntled element against him.
