HLPAI,LIIG WARNS INEC, SECURITY AGENTS AGAINST RIGGING IMO POLL .

▪️VOWS TO MOBILIZE ALL NECESSARY MONITORING MECHANISM .


The Human Life Protection Advocacy Initiative (HLPAI) and Life In Imo Group (LIIG) has warned the Independent National Electoral Commission and other security agents against aiding any political party in rigging the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state .

The National President of Life In Imo Group ( LIIG)  who doubles as the State Coordinator of Human Life Protection Advocacy Initiative (HLPAI) , Prince Maduba Chukwudi Francis (OluImo)said the warning became necessary because the group " have now become fully aware that the Commission , in collaboration with security forces , intends to rig the election.

The group which is number 56 accredited none governmental organisations that will monitor the forthcoming Election, has reiterated their resolves and Commitments to ensure that people's votes will count without monetary inducement and intimidation of any kind.

OluImo said the tempo and atmosphere in Imo State is already charged and that whoever allows themselves to be used for manipulation " would be doing so at his own peril".  The group members have been fully rallied in their numbers to combat , head to head , any move by any body or group whatsoever to rig the November 11 governorship election.

" We are all aware of the bargaining and negotiation going on between INEC and Candidate over releasing results sheet , at this furtive meeting to rig Imo State election, but we wish to let the Commission know that attempting so in Imo State will have huge repercussions.

" Prof Yakubu , all INEC officials, security agents involved in Imo Gubernatorial Election must note the fact that the state has unique Political characteristics and its resistance level to electoral injustice and fraud comes with dreadful costs.

The group specifically warns the security agents against releasing the armoured vehicles to politicians and aiding any party to swap results nor cause unpleasant to the electorates . " We therefore caution the military and other security forces to keep to the dictates of their constitutional role of peripheral security in election, as any infraction on the freedom and rights of electorates and they will not only be faced with stiff resistance but will also be dragged to court . OluImo said.

Prince Maduba Chukwudi (OluImo) conclusively urged Imolites to feel free and happy that they forthcoming Election will not be business as usual.
