Dr. Sir Chika Benson Abazu, the Ideato North/South Federal Constituency candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the 2023 National Assembly election in Imo State, has with other party big wigs in the Federal Constituency assured of garnering 100% vote for Governor Hope Uzodimma come November 11, 2023.
Abazu disclosed this to newsmen on Tuesday after the statekholders meeting they, the APC members in Ideato Nation held at Rockview Hotel in Owerri, the state capital, to reiterate their commitment towards ensuring that governor Uzodimma emerges victorious in the forth coming Governorship election in the state.
Fielding questions from Journalists, the APC Ideato Nation candidate, who described the governor as an expectional Governor, averred, "Imo State has never had it this good. Despite the insecurity challenge which the State Government has been tackling headlong, everyone will attest that the governor has done exceptionally well in infrastructural development.
"His excellency, the governor has left no stone unturned in putting up solid roads in the state, and he is still doing more to ensure it gets to all nooks and crannies of the state.
"This he has extended to other sectors in the state, as our health care centers are up to standard, civil servants paid as at when due, and our youths empowered which the recent one was evident in the Skill Up Imo Programme where the governor empowered 20000 youths with their kits.
"Ideato Nation has not been left out in this programmes of the governor. Also it is for the love the governor has for us that made him come to Ideato to marry one of our sisters; Barr. Chioma Uzodimma, who is the first lady of the state, and we are also proud to have her there.
"So this election is Ideato people's election, and so we want to assure you all that Ideato Nation will return Hope for second tenure."
Also adding his voice, Chief Ikeaka Humphrey, the APC apex leader in Ideato Nation who affairmed all Abazu has said, noted that the reward for good work is more work, adding that the governor has shown dedication towards making Imo the envy of all and so should be given another opportunity to complete what he has began.
He further urged all Imolites to join them in supporting governor Uzodimma, saying that God has sent him, the governor to better the lots of all Imolites.
While reacting to the resolve of the people, the Chief of Staff to the Imo State Government, Nnamdi Anyaehie who was also present in the meeting, stated, "the leaders are doing what they are suppose to do because His excellence has done well, as many of us who have been in Imo, have never seen it this better in the state.
"The governor has put in place legacies that are enduring. So we give glory to God that we have a man like him, who is selfless, and believe that the people are his primary constituency.
"In the aspect of insecurity, he is doing exceedingly well in the state as the insecurity is even worst in other States. The insecurity is everywhere in the country, but from what the governor is doing, very soon there will be no iota of insecurity that will be traced in the state."
