The immediate past State Chairman Of the Ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, Chief Barr. Marcellinus Nlemigbo has condemned and vehemently cautioned Media Practitioners and Advocates under the guises and sponsorship APC Opposition political party's to stop Hinging and blow out of proportions the issues of Insecurity in the State as the scourge is not only in Imo State alone
Chief Nlemigbo pointed out that the issue of Insecurity in the State is low when compared with what is happening in other states but those against the government of Senator Hope Uzodimma are hiding under the inferences to draw unnecessary fears in the State and place the State in the most vulnerable and Insecurity risk whereas some State he wouldn't want to mention their name are high in the issue of Insecurity.
He commended the governor Senator Hope Uzodimma for using all the available avenues to ensure that the issue of Insecurity is drastically reduced.
The APC chieftain stated this while granting interviews to Imo Based Newsmen shortly after IPAC's Peace conference held on Thursday, at Golden Tulip Hotel Owerri, attended by representatives of all the 17 Political parties and the Off Cycle Governorship Candidates on 11 November 2023, election.
According to him, let the Peace Accord Agreement initiated by the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) bring peace, free and credible election in Imo State.
He stated that, in a peaceful atmosphere his political party, APC is in the verge, grassroots and have also won the minds of Imo People as a result of the governor Senator Hope Uzodimma's sound records, therefore nothing will stop his victory in the forthcoming Polls.
The Mbaitoli Local Government Area APC Apex leader made it clear, that, his party is a well organized political party in Nigeria, therefore, have structured their campaigns Inline with the provisions of the constitution, adding that APC would emerge victorious and recalled the achievements of the governor in the past three years in office as the yardsticks for the victory and reassured that Imo people will not take such a glaring opportunity for granted.
Further, Chief Nlemigbo Commended Imo Elders, Council for putting behind individual interest to introduce the "Imo Charter of Equity". He maintained that, Owerri zone people are fully in support of the incumbent Govenor, Hope Uzodimma to complete his eight years as such will enable governorship seat returns to other Zone in 2027.
He thank the organizers of the IPAC Peace Conference programmes for a job well done and encouraged all the candidates in the forthcoming Imo Governorship election to be guided by the Peace Accord Agreement and do it's campaign accordingly, avoid name dropping and campaign of calumnies.
