Umuokparafor, Umunoha in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo State over the Weekend played host to diginitries, lnlaws, friends and well-wishers from far and near who came in their numbers to pay their last respect Late PA Christian Anudike Nweke who died at age of 77 years.
In a funeral mass held in St. Paul Catholic Church, Umunoha, the parish priest Rev. Fr. Lawrence Ogazi discribed death as a necessary end, a prize which every living being must pay, but emphasised on what next, which is what one should be remembered for and where his or her soul will be spending eternity.
The Catholic priest, however called on people to always be prepared for the last day by keeping their ways with God clean and as well leave up right life to avert the rot of God on the judgement day.
Fr. Ogazi was Emphatic that late PA Nweke leaved upright life worthy of Emulation particularly his straight forwardness and sincerity in his dealings, and had gone to meet his creator who knows the best and why he called for his soul at this time.
He therefore urge the aggrieved not to cry like people without faith, as He is spiritually convinced that late PA Nweke is rejoicing with the heavenly Angels at the moment.
Ogazi, who also enjoined the family of the deceased not to allow the good legacies of their late Father to go into extinction.
The remains of late PA Christian Nweke was led to rest in his compound at exactly 12.45 pm.
In an interview, the elder Son of the deceased Hon Cassidy Nweke, who based in Germany discribed their late father as his best friend ever, whose disciplinarian character really shaped and made them what they are today and added that they would greatly miss his companionship and wild counsel particularly at difficult times.
He passionately requested for prayers from all asundry for God to grant the soul of his late father eternal rest.
Also in an interview, the first daughter of the deceased Hon. Charity Nweke Okwaraku who is the CEO of Sisco Royal LTD, Senior Omega shirts LTD, and Okigwe Restaurant and bar Owerri Said, " we cannot see our father any longer, we will greatly miss his love and care. Although we cannot question God but all I know and happy about is that his legacies leaves on. Adieu papa".
She used the medium to thank all who came from far and near to honour their late father, and also for their prayers and support and asked God to reward each and everyone of them abundantly.
