The Court of Appeal Court has affirmed the victory of Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah as the duly elected member representing Umunneochi/Isiukwuato Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.
Amobi Ogah's victory has laid to rest the political career of Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, who has occupied the seat for almost 16 years and is now the Minister of State for Labour and Employment.
The Court of Appeal today set aside the judgment of the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Umuahia which upturned the victory of Amobi Ogah.
Labour Party’s Ogah was declared the winner of the February 25 National Assembly election, defeating APC’s Onyejeocha.
