Today, November 30, 2023, the Imo State High Court in Owerri resolved the long-standing legal dispute between Comr. Humphrey Osuji and Comr. Isdom Chukwuemeka, determining the authentic chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Imo State chapter.


The court, in its wisdom and understanding, examined the case between the two parties, who presented their arguments. Ultimately, the court affirmed that Comr. Humphrey Osuji is the legitimate chairman of the association.


During the trial, Comr. Humphrey Osuji testified that the leadership battle between him and Mr. Isdom Chukwuemeka had been settled. Mr. Isidom Chukwuemeka, the second respondent, agreed to allow Comr. Osuji to continue as the chairman of the Imo State National Youth Council of Nigeria.


In his affirmation, Mr. Isdom Chukwuemeka stated that he was in alignment with his brother and friend, Comr. Humphrey Osuji, and that they had settled the matter. Consequently, he consented to Comr. Osuji's continued tenure as the chairman of the council.This resolution marks the end of the legal battle between the two parties and paves the way for Comr. Humphrey Osuji to continue his term as the authentic chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Imo State chapter.


Meanwhile, the judge of the case, Justice K.A Leweanya told the respondent to go and move the council and Imo youths forward.  She further expressed happiness that, these youths came together to move the council to an enviable height.
