The Sole Administrator of Oguta Council Area of Imo State,Hon.Ifeanyi Nnani has described the victory of Governor Hope Uzodimma of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in the just concluded Imo off-cycle gubernatorial election as one using sledge hammer to kill a fly instead of going for broom.
Hon. Nnani stated that Governor Hope Uzodimma went extra mile to drive his campaign trains to grassroots despite having structures all over the 27 Local Government Areas of the State unlike two other Frontline contenders, Senator Samuel Anyanwu of People's Democratic Party, PDP and Senator Athan Achonu of Labour Party,LP.
He recalled how Governor Hope Uzodimma sold his manifesto and giant strides to the electorates that metamorphosed his re-election on Saturday 11th November,2023.
According to him," both Senator Samuel Anyanwu and Senator Athan Achonu lacked capacities to express their antecedents and achievements during their reign in the National Assembly so as to convince Imo people to vote them to occupy the number one seat of Imo State. The duo should sheath their swords and join hands to build Imo of our collective dreams. So,His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma was ever prepared for the election. His achievements in this first tenure in office is speaking volume. He campaigned very well and sold his candidature to the electorates. You can see how he dwarfed Senator Samdaddy and Senator Athan Achonu during the guber poll".
The Sole Administrator of the oil producing council area further narrated how his Oguta people came out enmass and re-elected Governor Hope Uzodimma. " Oguta is a second home of Governor Hope Uzodimma because he attended his secondary education there. It was a pay back time for the Governor who had despite man-made challenges surpassed the records of his predecessors. He has tackled insecurity to its barest minimum. And I believe that monies he always channel to tackle insecurity will now be channelled to more infrastructural development in Imo State". "This is barely one month I took over as the SOLAD of Oguta LGA,but I have recorded resounding achievements by uniting my people. At least, leaders can now eat together in one plate without fighting each other. I have also had series of meetings with the security Operatives where we discussed a way forward for totally ending of insecurity in our area. And I have installed solar lights at the strategic places in Oguta",he concluded.
