Imo State Chapter of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) 2023 End of the year, annual get-together party and unveiling of 2024 working calendar was held on the 9th December,2023 and it ended in praises and exhortations.
In his welcome address ANAN Imo State  Chairman Sir Chuks Uchehara,  explained that the event was packaged for the members to take it's advantages and reflect on the activities of the Association within the year and to create a pathway for raising funds for the actualization of the Branch's permanent Secretariat as his leadership have made frantic efforts to realized the projects.

Speaking  Chief Ikedi Ohakim who spoke in proxy through his representative and a former permanent secretary, Barr Austin Otuokere,  extolled the good virtues of Accountants and the important roles they play in the development of organizations and Nations.He further, commended the members for the lead role they are playing in the economy of Imo State in particular and Nigeria in general.
According to the eyewitnesses,  the ceremony  attracted good number of Imo political elites and Academia  including a former Governor, Chief Ikedi Ohakim, who was represented by Barr. Austin Otukere, Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi, represented by Obulimba Innocent Eke as well as former Vice Chancellor of Imo State University, Prof Innocent Chuka Okonkwo and many others.

This year ANAN end of the year annual party was specially Chaired by Chief Fab  Okochi (Former State ANAN Chairman) as it was tagged with the theme, "Accountants Funfair and Superlative Award Ceremony"'  followed by the presentation of  ANAN prestigious Award to some deserving personalities including H/E Dr Ikedi Ohakim, The Chairman, Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM, Eze (Dr) Emmanuel .C. Okeke (Ezeudo II of Amaifeke, EzeImo), Dist Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi, Prof Innocent Chuka Okonkwo, ANAN council member,Chief Peter Anyanwu (FCNA),two term branch Chairman and former south east zonal chairman, Sir Chuks Uchehara (FCNA),Prof Andrew Igwemma, Prof Chris Nlemoha, Mr Fidelis Njoku FCNA,Dr Nick Obinatu, Dr Charles Nnajieto, Dr Ajuzie Ebeniza, Pastor Gabriel Onyebuchi and Mrs Mabel Okpara,FCNA.
 
In his  remarks,  Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi represented by a former commissioner in the state and former Member Representing Owerri West State Constituency, Imo House of Assembly Nze Obulimba Innocent Ekeh who congratulated the Association on her gaint strides and indicated willingness to partner with the Association in the realization of her office project.

In a vote of thanks Chairman Planning Committee, Mpieri Okechukwu , thanked the awardees ,guest and members for making the projects a realized one.
