As Christians around the world celebrate the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Sole Administrator of Oru West Local Government Area, Honourable Willie Okolieogwo, has extended his good wishes to the people of Oru West LGA, praying that the celebration would bring them peace, joy and fulfilment as he thanked God for the gift of life to witness another festive season. He made the disclosure in Owerri at the stakeholders' meeting conveyed by Honourable Eugene Dibiagwu.

Honourable Okolieogwo, who is also the Imo State Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, who equally wished travelers from his LGA journey mercies, expressed happiness that despite a busy year, God showed Himself faithful and compassionate towards His people. He expressed optimism of better things to come as the year 2023 gradually comes to and end,  and the 2024 in the offing.

The Oru West SOLAD, used the opportunity to laud the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma for his good works in all aspects of the state. Joyful for the outcome of of the November 11th governorship election, Honourable Okolieogwo, posited that the election gave the people of the state a good opportunity to reciprocate the uncommon leadership prowess of the governor, explaining that Senator Uzodimma's overwhelming victory was a testimony of how his achievements had endeared him to the hearts of the citizens of the state.

He paid attention to the transformation taking place in the state, emphasizing that returning Imo citizens during this year's yuletide would be amazed to see the breathtaking infrastructural development in the state as well as beautifications going on in the state capital and in other areas of the state. He added that Governor Uzodimma has defined leadership through his visionary, purposeful and people-oriented Shared Prosperity Government, as he congratulated Imo people for having a governor whose good works had placed the state on an enviable height.

"It is a thing of joy for us to have Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma as the governor of the state at this time. Within these few years of piloting the affairs of Imo state, every aspect of our state has witnessed a touch of transformation because a leader who is agitated and determined to change the narratives for good is in-charge. Through the 3R Government, we have seen uncommon achievements in human empowerment, infrastructural development, enhanced workers' welfare among other giant strides credited to this present government," Honourable Okolieogwo explained.

Similarly, Honourable Okolieogwo, communicated his gratitude to Honourable Eugene Dibiagwu, the Member representing Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency for his effective representation of the area at the National Assembly. The Oru West SOLAD, was reacting to the distribution of gifts to the people of the federal constituency by Honourable Dibiagwu, during a Christmas party organized by the federal lawmaker for his constituents.

Honourable Okolieogwo, while expressing joy at the event, commended the lawmaker for his efforts at carrying his constituents along, adding that the items distributed by Honourable Dibiagwu would go along way in bringing joy and sense of belonging to the the people of the federal constituency. He, therefore, stressed the importance of political leaders keeping in touch their people as well as impacting them positively.
