Late Eze Godfrey Chiwuike Ogbonna and Ugoeze Nneoma Mabel Abaraugo Ogbonna


The Ihitte/Uboma Local Government Area Stakeholders, Traditional rulers, Youth groups and Women groups mourn the traditional ruler of Ikperejere Ancient Community Late HRH Eze Godfrey Chiwuike Ogbonna ( Aro Ji 1 of Ikperejere) and his wife Ugoeze Nneoma Mabel Abaraugo OGBONNA whose deaths occurred recently after a brief illness respectively, hence will be led to rest on Tuesday 26th December, 2023.

Specking to newsmen in Ihitte/Uboma council area, the chairman of Traditional rulers in Ihitte/Uboma local government area HRH Eze Jude Uwalaka described the late HRH Eze Godfrey Chiwuike Ogbonna as a good man and one of the oldest traditional ruler in Ihitte/Uboma local government area as he died at the age of 95 years. He therefore regret his absence as his wealth of wisdom will be missed by all, particularly among the traditional rulers in Ihitte/Uboma local government area.

Interestingly, late HRH Eze Godfrey Chiwuike Ogbonna ( Aro Ji 1 of Ikperejere ) was born to the family of late Pa Ogbonna Keke in Umura Umuopara Owerri Ikperejere on 2nd September, 1928 and he emerged the traditional ruler for Ikperejere ancient kingdom on 21st January, 1979 and was crown the Ago Ji 1 of Ikperejere on 26th December, 1992.  Indeed, his 44 years on the throne as the traditional ruler of Ikperejere Ancient Kingdom are Characterized by positive impacts and absolute peaceful co existence among the leaders and the people.

It was gathered that the entire good people of Ikperejere, stakeholders at home and in diaspora, leaders which includes the Ikperejere traditional prime minister High Chief Kizito Chukwu, President General Mr. ThankGod Emeji, High Chief Charles Korie, Hon Dr Emmanuel Amaefule, the Chairman Burial Committee Mr. Godson Ikechukwu Osuagwu as well as all the members of the burial committee are committed with good support to ensure a successful and peaceful burials for late HRH Eze Godfrey Chiwuike Ogbonna ( Aro Ji 1 of Ikperejere) and Ugoeze  Nneoma Mabel Abaraugo Ogbonna come 25th Dec for the Christian wake keeping and on 26th  December for the funeral/burials in Umura Ikperejere ancient kingdom.
