The Director General Imo State Consumer Protection Commission (CPC) Dr. Mrs Obioma Okafor has reiterated the determination of the governor Senator Hope Uzodimma to safety of lives and property through the protection of consumers right and privileges to healthy market products.

Addressing Newsmen in her office, Mrs Okafor expressed confidence in the State Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma for his proactiveness to safe the people through reviving the Commission and explained that the Commission have lived Upto the expectations to get rid of fake, adulterated and imitation products in the market through a collaborated efforts with both individuals, cooperate bodies in an organized Town Hall meetings, open sensitization, public awareness creations across the three senatorial zones and major Markets and most recently the Primary and Secondary Schools Debate Competitions.

She maintained that her Taskforce Team are formidable and active to get to the nooks and crannies of the State to get rid of contravenes and ensure adequate protections of the consumers right and persecution of offenders. 

"Our eagle eyes taskforce team are always ready, vigilant and eager to do the needful. what we need is a tip off information and believe me we will protect the complaints"

"We are ready to do our work without any contradictions, what we need is to ensure that the consumers know there right and when such is contradicted we are available to follow it up to ensure logical conclusion". 
"Yes there is fake adulterated and imitation products in the market those producing the items don't they have a neighborhood, we demand on the three S, see something, Say it and allowed the Commission to Sort it out, while on the synthetic products, like Television, Telephone and others, there are Three R formulas to it, We demand for either Repair, Replacement and Refund. So let our people know that they have a right to what ever products, goods and services at their possession. Check on the expired date cum date of productions".  Mrs Okafor.

She explained further that her offices are ready to ensure products quality education and called on the people to feel free and come to the Owerri office Opposite ISOPADEC Building Port Harcourt Road Owerri Imo State or any of the 27 Local Government Area Council headquarters as CPC offices are domiciles in each as any complaint obtained will be treated firmly.

On the readiness of her Commission to safety of goods and services as well as quality products, Mrs Okafor pointed out that the government have designed a cup to be used in the purpose of grains, Garri and other food ingredients that needs to passed through substandard cups before and called on the people to demand for the cup in the market to avoid cheating.
