There is now clear indication that the Imo State Governor, Sen.Hope Uzodimma, is now ready to mercilessly deal with anybody involved in the obvious land grabbing by all those Imo top government officials and business merchants obviously involved in the exposed land theft and racketeering transactions in the state since 2020.

It could be recalled that about 6 weeks ago, the Governor suspended and sacked the Imo Commissioner for Lands, Mr.Noble Atulegwu Abiaso, over misconducts and misuse of office as a commissioner for land within the period of unfriendly and unfruitful service in the state.

Noble’s inglorious activities at the Imo Ministry of lands prompted the Governor Hope to ensure his arrest and detention by the police in Owerri.

As at the press time, the sacked Imo Lands Commissioner, Noble is still cooling at the police custody, while waiting for further interview.

It is now very certain that the governor having seen the sharp and corrupt practices by so many top Shared Prosperity Government functionaries has insisted that his government shall not allow any one fingered to go scott free.

It was that the governor is ready to play any sentimental game rather he poised to ensure that all those involved in the obvious land grabbing in the state, not only the embattled commissioner, must be fished out nor matter how highly placed such person.

Since the arrest and detention of Mr.Noble, the Governor has vowed to ensure that all those involved in the land grabbing saga are arrested and those lands illegally and forcefully acquired are retrieved and recovered.

Now following the recently launched ”Operation Return The Land You Grabbed From Imo State” was officially declared, the Police in the state based on the instructions of the Governor to the Commissioner of Police to work in synergy with the office of the SA Land Recovery, the law enforcement has been going around dropping letters of invitation to those accused of land grabbing.

Our Reporter gathered that about few days ago, the Police extended their invitation letter to some members of the Imo State House of Assembly and some top government officials to come and clear themselves from all forms of allegations concerning land grabbing.

Recalled in the recent time that there has been circulating rumors that the Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodimma on Special Duties, Nze Chinasa Nwaneri, was arrested but at last the story was confirmed to be untrue.

But today, Thursday,Dec.28th 2023, ThePressman had it from a true source that the Police Command has invited the SA Special Duties, Nze Chinasa, to make a statement on the petition tendered against him.

Very clearly, the Special Duties SA, Nwaneri, at about 9:38am on Thursday, Dec.28, went to Police and made his own statement. He was arrested as alleged but was later released at about 1:00 pm after 4 hours with the Policemen at the State Investigative Department (State CID) Owerri.

Our newmen gathered that he was requested by the Police to return to the command within the next few days for further investigation.
