The Executive Governor of Imo State,His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma's kinsman,Mr. O'Briens Ogbejesi on Saturday 6th January,2024 quit bachelorhood.

O'Briens wedded a Nigerian-American Soldier,Rita who hails from Anambra State at Assumpta Cathedral, Owerri,Imo State.

The wedding ceremony attracted people from all walks of life including politicians, family and friends.

After exchanging their marital vows, the Presiding Priest said,"Rita and O'Briens, you have declared your consent before God and his church. May the Lord in his goodness strengthen your consent and fill you both with his blessings, therefore, what God joined together,let no man put asunder. By the authority of the church,I ratify and bless this bond of contract in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen".

Speaking to newsmen, the sponsor of the marriage,Nze Thaddeus Ogbonna expressed happiness over the divine union of the newly wedded couple.

Nze Ogbonna prayed for protection, good health,more blessings and God's grace upon the newly joined home.

He wished the couple a happy marital life.

In a swift reaction, O'BRIENS' father,High Chief Marcellinus Ogbejesi and his uncle(guardian) Chief Dr. Paschal Ogbejesi expressed happiness over the massive turn-out of their friends and well-wishers for the event praying God to grant  the couple a happy home  fill with joy, laughter, sound health,good children and God's favour.

In another development,the former Interim Management Committee Chairman of Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State,Hon. Nze Nyerere Ogbonna has rated Governor Hope Uzodimma's performance in his first tenure very high.

Nze Nyerere stated that Governor Uzodimma was able to maneuver COVID-19,end-SARS, and unknown gunmen challenges and recorded tremendous achievements during his  first tenure in office.

He expressed confidence in the Governor maintaining that Imolites  will experience more rapid development in his second term in his office.

The Ex-Chairman recalled how Governor Uzodimma was able to upgrade  Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education to Federal University of Education, attracted Federal University Teaching Hospital,Imo Polytechnic to University of Agriculture.
"We can now boast of quality roads network in Imo State, health centres,and above all,there is a sanitized civil service system in Imo State. Workers receive their salaries as at when due.
While pensioners are now happy with the Governor. They don't complain again",he concluded.
