In line with the shared prosperity government agenda of his Excellency, Sen. Hope Uzodinma the executive governor to keep imo state and it environment clean, Ugwumba movement has packaged a massive clean up campaign exercise which will be kicked off on Saturday 24th February 2024 at the government house round- about and Douglas road.

In release signed by the Director general of  Ugwumba movement, High Chief Chibuike Ahamefula (Odigonma), he noted that the programme will further collaborate the recent bill passed by the Imo state house of assembly to set aside every last Saturday of the month for sanitation exercise.

" This programme is targeted to encourage private institutions, cooperatives, religious bodies, and individuals to actively involved in the monthly clean up exercise, the programme will involve all the state executive officers, local government and ward coordinators of Ugwumba movement, including top government officials. 

Consequently , we have resolved with the ministry of environment to drive the campaign down to all the 27 local government in state  in order to create enough awareness on the need to take the monthly sanitation exercise very serious.

He also commended the 3R government ably led by His Excellency Sen.Hope Uzodinma for his giant strides in infrastructure and road construction while  appealing  to Imolites to come out fully and participate in the Saturday clean up exercise which he said will aid to promote healthy living among Imo citizens, as they say," cleanliness is next to Godliness".
