As the November 11, 2023 governorship election in Imo State draws nearer, a chieftain of PDP, Chief Ugochukwu Ajoku (Okpata-Ozuoha 1 of Ofekata Orodo), has urged Imo electorate to vote massively for the PDP candidate, Senator Samuel Anyanwu and his running mate, Rt Hon. Jones Onyereri, to enable them win to liberate the state from poverty, hardship, suffering, agony and insecurity.

Ajoku said when the PDP wins the governorship election, Imo State will be safe again with social development and economic prosperity being put in place, employment created for the people especially youths.

He made the urge in an interview with journalists in Owerri, weekend.

Ajoku, an illustrious son of Orodo, told Imo people to give their full support and mandate to Anyanwu to enable him advance the course of Imo State thereby making the state a better place for all to live and enjoy.

While describing Samdaddy as visionary politician with rich experience in leadership, governance, democracy, politics and good human relations, Ajoku buttressed that when Anyanwu becomes governor of Imo State in the November 11 2023 election local government autonomy will be a reality so that peace, development, government presence will be felt at the rural areas where he said people are suffering too much due to government negligence, economic depravity and scarcity.

"When elected as governor of Imo State in the forthcoming election, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, who has vast experience in leadership, democracy and politics will employ good governance so that Imo will be safe again with social development and economic prosperity being the hallmarks of the state. I therefore urge all thoughtful Imo people to do well to vote for Samdaddy and Jones to enable them win the election", Ajoku maintained.

The responsible son of Orodo and a committed supporter of Samdaddy and Jones assured them "of the total support and mandate of Orodo and entire Mbaitolu people in the election. Because we are convinced and believe that with PDP in power the bad roads in Orodo, Mbaitolu and other places in Imo State would be put in proper shape thereby encouraging commercial activities and productivity".

He affirmed that he has fully mobilised and canvassed for the PDP candidates, adding that victory is assured so that the people will be liberated and given a new lease of life in Imo State.
