The representative of Okigwe North in the Senate, Hon. Engr. Patrick Ndubueze has commended the Prayer Women Network for organizing a one-day Prayer Summit to pray for Governor Hope Uzodimma's reelection.
Ndubueze who is also the Chairman Senate Committee on works, made the commendation on Friday, during the prayer summit which he joined the women in observing in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
Addressing the women, the lawmaker stated, " I am so delighted over your concern for the Governor's return to the Government House. Anybody praying for governor Uzodimma is praying for me; governor Uzodimma is a man that has a good heart, and so I am ready to do this every day with you people, from morning till night untill the election is over.
"His Excellency has been able to do a lot in the area of physical infrastructural development, human capital development, cutting across, both women and youths.
"Okigwe to Owerri road got dilapidated since 1982 when I was in school, but you people have seen how it is now. This, the governor has not just done in Okigwe Zone, but also in Orlu, Mbaise, even in Owerri city.
"There is no governor that will claim that he has done up to what governor Uzodimma has done since 1999.
"In him we have found a forward looking leader who loves his people, and is interested primarily in the development of the land of Imo, and in the advancement of the course of the people in the state.
"Everybody is pleased with the governor, which is why even you, the believers are now calling on God for his reelection, for we know that after eight years Imo will be transformed to the envy of all.
"Ones again, may God bless you all for thinking it wise to pray for the governor, and I urge you all to continue doing so, until victory becomes ours at last, ' Ndubueze averred'.
One of the women of God, Rev Mrs Henrietta Dennis-Jacobs of the New Wave Assembly also prayed for the legislator asking God to perfect all his plans for his political career, and his life.
