Today in the city of Owerri metropolis a student of Imo girls secondary school Owerri by name "Nmesoma" from Ehime Mbano LGA was drowned by the heavy downpour that filled the tunnel in the heart of the city opposite Imo state government House Owerri, as the time of filling this news every effort made to reach the Chairman IMO ENTRACO, OCDA Chairman and government officials was prove abortive.
I am calling on the government of IMO state to look into the drainages in Owerri metropolis in making sure that they are covered especially the one opposite Government House Owerri so that this ugly incident should not repeat itself again.
I am using this medium to let the Governor of IMO state, His Excellence Governor Hope Uzodimma to sanction the GM's of above institutions mentioned above.
Due to the carelessness of ENTRACO and OCDA coused the untimely death of the young schoolgirl "Nmesoma today in Owerri.
After several hours in searching her body inside the tunnel was proved abortive until information came that her lifeless body was found in Nworie river and was taken to Federal Medical Centre Owerri where she was confirmed dead
