Barely eighteen days after the just concluded off-cycle Imo State gubernatorial election, the Candidate of People's Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Samuel Anyanwu popularly called Samdaddy has vowed to legally regain his mandate.

In a word press conference held at PDP Secretariat, Owerri on Wednesday 29th November,2023, Senator Anyanwu insisted that original results of election shown that he was  leading with a wide margin followed by the Candidate of Labour Party,LP, Senator Athan Achonu wondering why Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC declared Senator Hope Uzodimma of All Progressives Congress, APC winner of the election.

He accused the ruling APC of manipulating figures of votes cast which amount to over-voting when reviewed.

Samdaddy urged party faithful and members of SamJones 2023 to remain calm and law abiding as his legal team is ready to embark upon legal battle that would bring back people's mandate.

The PDP Candidate regretted how the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC used thugs to snatch ballot boxes.

He recalled how they blackmailed him at the eve of the election using TVC video to tell Imolites  that he has withdrawn from the election.

In furtherance, Senator Anyanwu denied collecting #2.5 billon  from either APC or any individual to compromise maintaining that no amount of blackmails will stop him.
