Hon Princewill Amuchie of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) on Dec. 14th, 2023, took both oath of allegiance and that of membership as honourable member, representing Aboh Mbaise State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly.
Performing the swearing ceremony on behalf of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Chike Olemgbe, clerk of the assembly, Bar. Chinelo Emeghara, charged the new lawmaker to bear through allegiance to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the discharge of his official duties.
She also charged him to conduct himself in line with the laid down rules of the assembly as a member of the Imo State Tenth Assembly.
Amuchie had recovered his mandate through the House of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal, displacing the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Hon. Eddie Obinna, who was declared winner of the 18th March, 2023, assembly election in Aboh Mbaise by the Independent National Electoral Commission
Addressing Newsmen shortly after plenary, the newly inaugurated lawmaker thanked for seeing him through dark moments of the struggle, describing his electoral victory as one of the greatest things that have ever happened to him.
He however, promised to commit himself to the service of constituents and the good people of Imo State.
