Lingering crisis rocking Egbuoma Ancient Kingdom in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State over the whereabout of HRH Eze Anugbuomba Okorie Ogbuehi is currently seemed to be a thing of past as the Sole Administrator of the Council Area,Hon. Ifeanyi Nnani has waded into the matter.
It would be recalled that Egbuoma Progressive Union had earlier written a letter titled,"save our soul"(SOS) to the Executive Governor of Imo State,His Excellency,Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma and also authored media publications titled,"Egbuoma Community declares Monarch,TPM missing.
Writes Governor Uzodimma".
While another group from Egbuoma Community through newspaper publication declared HRH Eze Anugbuomba Okorie Ogbuehi not missing insisting that nobody expects their traditional ruler to be operating 24hours at age of 106.
Meanwhile, media has been awash since over 3years ago on the ranging crisis in connection with Egbuoma Community Ezeship stool. It was also reported that the Son of Eze Ogbuehi wants to become the regent of Egbuoma Community while no official notice of his father's whereabout,a situation that prompted Egbuoma Progressive Union through a statement signed by its President-General,Linus Chinyere(DSP Rtd) and Secretary-General Mr. Ikenna Nduka to request that Eze Anugbuomba Okorie Ogbuehi should address Egbuoma people even from sick bed.
However, the SOLAD of Oguta Local Government Area,Hon. Ifeanyi Nnani on Wednesday 29th November,2023 brought together critical stakeholders of Egbuoma Community at the Council Headquarters, Oguta where they discussed a way forward for lasting peace.
Hon. Nnani advised all the warring parties to sheath their swords and embrace peace describing peace and unity as the key to rapid development.
After extensive deliberation, the SOLAD urged them to go home in peace as he will soon set up a delegation that will visit their Community for the purpose of strengthening their unity and also ascertain the current condition of the traditional ruler.
The crucial meeting was attended by Egbuoma Ancient kingdom's Palace Chiefs ( NDI ICHIE) on one side and the Egbuoma Town Union ably led by the PG and also in attendance was the Traditional Prime Minister ( OLUOHA).
