FHICO donating items and paying bills for indigent patients in Imo State Specialist Hospital Umugwuma Owerri
Happiness knew no bounds in the hearts of some poor patients at the Imo State Specialist Hospital Umuguma in Owerri West Local Government Area as an NGO, Flush House International Charitable Organization (FHICO), freely donated equipments to the Specialist Hospital to improve quality heath services in the state.
Notably, the equipments donated to the Specialist Hospital included 3 Wheel Chairs, 2 Trolleys, 3 Bedside Tables, 2 Bedside Lockers, 5 Weight Height and Delivery Tables/Couches.
FHICO, as well, settled hospital bills for some discharged poor patients at the Specialist Hospital, as well as deposited money for drugs for them to facilitate their treatment and wellness.
Giving out the items to the Management of the Imo State Specialist Hospital Umugwuma, the Provost (President) of FHICO, Barr. Obinna Adindu, noted that the feat is geared to support government to offer quality medical services to the people to promote good health and good living.
Adindu who pointed out that Flush House is always dedicated to render effective selfless humanitarian services to the people especially the vulnerable, observed that the year's charity was done in memory of one of their members, QS Chukwuemeka Obialo, who until his demise, was the Secretary of Charity/Welfare Committee of FHICO.
The Provost commended the Management of Imo Specialist Hospital Umuguma for caring for their patients, even as he described the Chief Medical Director of the Specialist Hospital, Dr. Ibebuike Kaunda, as a dutiful and renowned medical doctor.
While disclosing that FHICO has been doing humanitarian work in the state, Chairman, Charity/Welfare Committee, Dr. Chima Madu, assured that FHICO would advance the charity activity to strengthen good health and happy living among people, eulogizing members for being sensible, ebullient and kind, loving and charitable.
Receiving the equipments, Chief Medical Director of Imo State Specialist Hospital, Dr. Ibebuike Kaunda, stated that quality medical services is being rendered to the people, thanking FHICO for donating the medical items, as well as paying bills for the indigent patients who he said would always remain grateful to FHICO.
One of the patients and a widow who benefited from the gesture, Uzoma Philomena, an indigene of Isiala Ngwa South, Abia State, expressed profound gratitude to God for using FHICO to put smile in her face and other beneficiaries and prayed to God to replenish their pocket, as well as keep them to sustain the tempore.
