The Imo State House of Assembly Committee on Information and Judiciary has been inaugurated.
The committee which was inaugurated on Thursday has its Chairman as the Member representing Oru West State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Dominic Ezerioha, member representing Nkwerre, Hon. Chisom Ojukwu as Vice Chairman while members of the committee are Hon. Ikenna Ihezuo (Orlu legislator), and Rt. Hon. Kennedy Ibeh (Obowo lawmaker).
Speaking to newsmen, Ezerioha mentioned some of the activities they will embark on to be:
"We will make sure to properly wade into issues that pertains to the judiciary. We shall look into the problems of the Magistrates and Chairmen of the Lower Courts, and visit all the High Courts and Customary Courts of Appeal to ascertain the challenges they are facing.
"The committee shall look into the outcome of the media through Legal Reforms of Imo Broadcasting Corporation, IBC Laws.
"We will regulate the information through the legislature and connect the idea of all information.
"These and many more activities we have mapped out to ensure we do not disappoint in the mandate given to us to man this committee.
