In the words of Ronald Reagan, former president of the United States of America, “The greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things but the one that gets the people to do the greatest things.”
In Imo State, it is no longer news that His Excellency, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodinma’s administration is likened to a smooth sailing ship anchored on unity, inclusiveness, peace, justice, fairness and equal distribution of our common wealth.
What is rather newsworthy is the replication of his uncommon leadership skills and developmental strides in carrying every community along in other to be at par with the state government’s avowal and commitment to ensure that no part of the state is unfairly treated in the distribution of the proverbial “Dividends of democracy”.
The Governor whose sterling style of leadership has ensured good road networks, protection of lives and property of indigenes and residents of the state, has equally made Imo the envy of other states in the South East region of the country, following his dedication to service and transformational leadership model in the state, which can be directly seen across the 27 local government areas in the state.
In Ikeduru Local Government Area for example, we are fortunate to have an exemplary child of God and a philanthropist in the person of *Very Rev. Dr. Chidi-Ndubisi Nwanebu* as the incumbent council helmsman who bestrides the scene as a meek and easily accessible servant; the past months since appointed have witnessed regular payment of salaries without backlogs and settlement of accumulated payments for services rendered without resort to advertisement stunts.
At present, there is no worker in Ikeduru local Government under his leadership that is being owed salaries. This, no doubt, is in compliance with Governor Uzodinma’s directive that no government worker should be owed a dime as workers deserve their wages.
While there were series of impromptu interventions that went unreported by the Nwanebu’s led administration that has brought enduring peace between the traditional rulers and their President-Generals across the 29 autonomous communities in Ikeduru.
As an astute clergyman that has toured most countries of the world preaching the gospel of Christ, he is still a community leader. Little wonder he singlehandedly built an ultra-modern civic hall in his country home, Umuoku - Atta in Ikeduru.
Furthermore, it is worthy to buttress that CNN as he is fondly called by numerous admirers is one of the most magnanimous men in Ikeduru which he has demonstrated times and times again. He is an unrepentant and habitual giver. A man who drives joy in giving to others.
Since assumed as Sole Administrator, he has demonstrated openness and immeasurable sincerity in leadership by giving the people what rightly belongs to them. The distribution of batches of palliatives is an eloquent example.
It is on record today, that *Very Rev. Dr. Chidi-Ndubisi Nwanebu* has distributed more palliatives than any other council boss in Ikeduru.
As a lover of education, he is passionate about supporting Ikeduru students to achieve their future dreams. Plans are already in top gear to set up a scholarship board that will cater for the needs of indigents children. The scholarship scheme will cover their school fee, boarding fee (for boarding students), writing materials and other little needs. He believes it will go a long way in helping the less privileged children in the society to get good and qualitative education because there are some pupils and students in the council area whose parents cannot afford to buy a pen for them to go to school.
As a protégé and one who has been thoroughly groomed under Governor Hope Uzodinma-led 3R administration. The people have confidence in his ability to provide unequal leadership in the local government which will ensure and guarantee continues unity and peace among the stakeholders of Ikeduru LGA
_Ikeduru is on the path of development and speedy growth with *Very Rev. Dr. Chidi-Ndubisi Nwanebu*_
