The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC South East Special Citizens Chairman,Hon. Dr. Stanley Chinedu Nwachukwu has demanded for an automatic Chairmanship ticket from his Party to enable physically challenged person become Executive Chairman of one out of the 27 Local Government Areas of Imo State in the forthcoming proposed Local Governments Election.

Hon. Nwachukwu who doubles as the Imo State Chairman of Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities,JONAPWD insisted that his community should be given sense of belonging by allowing one physically challenged person to occupy Chairmanship Seat of a local government in the forthcoming election expected to be conducted by Imo State Independent Electoral Commission,ISIEC.

He insisted that the physically challenged persons should be given equal opportunities to contribute their quotas in the society noting that there is always ability in persons living with disabilities. "We believe that ideas rule the world, and not how giant or elegant one is. We want Governor to give us waiver in terms of employment opportunities as well as donating vehicle to us administrative purposes.
It's unfortunate that the didn't much for us in his first tenure,but I am optimistic that he will remember us in his current second term in office as he promised us during our courtesy to him sometime last year. Let me seize this medium to thank Imolites  for massively voted for Governor Hope Uzodimma in November 11th,2023 off-cycle Imo State gubernatorial election. We shall continue to support the 3R Government of our dear Governor Hope Uzodimma",he promised.

Although, the Imo State electoral umpire has not released official timetable for the election,but the Executive Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma had earlier disclosed that the reason for dissolution of his appointed Sole Administrators of the 27 LGAs of the State was to election that will usher in a new crop of leaders that will steer the affairs of the grassroots governments.

In furtherance, the Imo-born South East APC Special Citizens Leader praised Governor Uzodimma for maneuvering horrible challenges such as COVID-19 pandemic,endSARS and unknown gunmen saga and recorded tremendous achievements during his first four years tenure in office.
Hear him,"we can now boast of quality roads network in Imo and refined civil service system.
Above all, upgrading Imo Poly to University,Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education to University and FMC, Owerri to Federal University Teaching Hospital.

Fielding questions from journalists whether he has ambition to contest for Chairmanship seat in the proposed forthcoming Local Government Election,Hon.Stanley Nwachukwu stated that power comes from the Almighty God stating that he is 100% loyal to Governor Hope Uzodimma and his Party, the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

He insisted that he has the capacity to rule his Orlu LGA  people as their executive Chairman maintaining that it beholds on the masses to assess his past antecedents in term of human capital development building.
