The immediate past Chief Political Officer and Head of Political Bureau to Governor Hope Uzodimma, Barr. Enyinna Onuegu, has been meritoriously honored with Distinguished Award by Imo Progressive Movement (IPM).

Notably, on Wednesday, 17th Day of January, 2024, at Rockview Hotel, Owerri, a political group,
IPM, colourfully organized an event in collaboration with African Free Press Magazine to reward stakeholders including APC faithful who  contributed immensely towards the reelection of APC Government being championed by Senator Hope Uzodimma. Among these prominent sons of Imo State who were given Accolades is Barr. Enyinna Onuegbu, an illustrious son of Ngor-kpala Local Government Area.

Bestowing the Accolade on Barr. Enyinna  Onuegbu, the National Convener of IPM and Member representing Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency in the House of Reps, Hon. Eugene Dibiagwu, hinted that the Award on the recipient was to thank him for his sterling contributions towards the reelection of Governor Hope Uzodimma, as well as encourage him to continue to give his support to the success of the administration for enhanced social development and economic growth of the state.

Dibiagwu who stated that IPM was formed out of the inspiration/spirit to mobilize support to the Second Tenure of 3R Administration for even consolidation of true democracy, good governance and fair politicking, described the Governor as a pragmatic leader, a good party fellow who he reiterated has really demystified democratic governance. 

Reacting, Barr. Enyinna Onuegbu, eulogized IPM for finding him worthy of the recognition, assuring IPM of his continued support towards the success of the Shared Prosperity Adminstration and the progress of Imo State.

He assessed "Uzodimma as a genuine leader, a bridge builder, a true democrat, development - oriented, a fearlessly unassuming politician who meant well for Imo State. In fact, he won the November 11 2023 governorship election overwhelmingly because Imo people and their visitors were happy with his great performance".

Onuegbu hence called on all Imo residents to dispel every negative tendency, but lend their credence to the Governor as he pushes towards renewing their hope.
