The Eze-Elect of Obike Autonomous Community in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State, Chief Josphat Nwosu has described Imo State at 48 years old as a beautiful Youth with the capacity to spread and extend development witnessed in Owerr, State Capital to the Grassroot or rural communities.
The Eze-Elect, Chief Nwosu, gave the hints to newsmen last Sunday 18 February 2024 during an official interactions on Imo State At 48 years old as the State was created in 1976 by the late Nigeria Military Head of State, Gen. Muritala Muhammad.
According to him, as a diasporan based Youth but a home grown Community leader needed to x-ray the State from the old to the new order and has to expressed confidence on both the past and present governors as they tried in their various capacity to bring the name and development of the State to the limelight and reemphasize that more needed also to be done to reposition the State for the future generations through a collective fight against insecurity, unemployment and bad leadership.
Chief Nwosu, said that, the only challenges against the development of the State is prevalent insecurity, because, it is anti-investors as such, without private entities or investors in participating in the physical infrastructure development will be practically impossible and the adverse effects is enormous including unemployment and many others.
"Imo at 48 years old, we are still behind but I wouldn't want to talk more because of the situation right now, but as an Imo State Son, and a Community leader, The Eze-Elect of Obike Autonomous Community in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State, Imo State are at the verge of good development by correcting the past errors and repositioned for better, frankly speaking,all our past leaders and Governors tried in their various individual capacities to put us were we are today but more needed to be done to extend the development from the State Capital Owerri to the various communities on rural infrastructure as such will also help to create job opportunities within the superbeb and reduce the quest and human congestion in Owerri Municipal Council",
"More needed also to be done in the area of health care provisions, Education, Security and Social infrastructures because there's no comparison with here and where we are coming from in the diaspora as the Son of the State we have come to contribute our own quota to the development of our community visa-views the State, Imo ". He urge for the cooperation and support of the people to the government of Senator Hope Uzodimma in Imo State to succeed and wished the State a fruitful administrations and 48 years celebration anniversary respectively.
