The adage honour is given to whom honour is due played out recently in   Imo state ,. as  the  head of the traditional institution in Umuokanne ancient kingdom in Ohaji / Egbema Local Government Area   Hrh. Eze. Sir (Dr.) Mathew Chidozie Nwokoma  was  honoured with Peace Ambassador award , by the Institute for Crises Resolution, Peace building and Conciliation in collaboration with United For Peace  ,  Imo state during their annual conference   , due  to his unalloyed commitment to peace building in Umuokanne Autonomous  community .

In a chat with newsmen after receiving his  award , the respected traditional ruler , thanked the organizers of the conference for recognizing his efforts in peace building.


 According to his citation , Hrh.Eze. Dr Matthew Chidozie Nwokoma  (KSC , JP , MPA , FIBAKM) Okaa -Omee IV  of Umuokanne Ancient Kingdom , in Ohaji /Egbema Local Government Area of Imo state , was born into the family of , HRH .Eze .E.E and Ugoeze .H.A Nwokoma . He attended Central School Umuokanne and Comprehensive Secondary School Umuokanne , where he obtained his FLSC and WAEC respectively .

In his quest for more knowledge he proceeded to the prestigious Alvan Ikoku  College Of Education  , where he acquired the Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE)  Hrh . Nwokoma furthered his  academic career at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka , Anambra State where he acquired a  Bachelor Degree in English Language , he joined the Nigeria Police Academy Wudil in Kano, he served in various departments in the Nigeria Police force in so many states of the federation  , before he lost his Royal Father which led to his Early resignation  from the Nigeria Police Force as his people beckoned on him to take over from his father's stool , since their tradition is hereditary.

 The people friendly  Custodian of culture ,  Hrh Nwokoma is the Managing Director (MD) Swift errand.com , MD Makel Security Services Nigeria Limited , he is the originator of Mmanu and Garri Ohaji export products.

Hrh . Nwokoma , an astute security activist  and an advent believer of peaceful co-existence of people irrespective of ethnic origin , he is currently the secretary of security, disciplinary , peace and conflict resolution committee in the Imo  state council of traditional institution and community policing , he is happily married with children .
