1ST IMO MEDIA SUMMIT HOLDS IN OWERRI

 Imo Media Practitioners, in collaboration with Promotions - Onion Communication Limited, Publishers of The Onion Newspaper, hold Maiden Imo Media Summit, under the Distinguished Chairmanship of Evangelist Dr. Bethran Uzodinma.

The theme of the Summit is 'Media Practice: Challenges of the 21st Century.' The Executive Governor of Imo State Distinguished Senator Hope Odidika Uzodimma will be the Special Guest of Honour.

    The erudite law scholar, former Dean Faculty of Law, Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri, Professor Nnamdi Obiareri, will deliver a lecture titled 'No free Speech, No Democracy.' Professor Protus Uzoma,  a highly grounded public commentator, will take up the topic 'Training of Media Practitioners on the Prospects and Challenges of Digital Journalism in the 21st Century.'

   A well respected First Class Traditional Ruler in Imo State His Royal Majesty Eze Oliver C. Ohanwe, Obi Gburugburu of Isiama Ancient Dynasty, Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, will be the Royal Father of the Day.

   The event will take place at Rockview Hotel, Government House Layout, Central Owerri Central Business District, Imo State, on Thursday, September 21, 2023. Time will be 10am prompt.

   The event, which is facilitated by High Chief Bright Chimezie Njoku, Agunaechemba, Publisher/Editor - in - Chief, Nigerian Horn Group of Newspapers, promises to provide good companionship for Imo based media Practitioners. The Planning Committee is Chaired by a highly experienced journalist and Imo Chairman of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Rotarian Everest Ezihe, Akaekpuchionwa.
