As November 11,2023 Imo State off-cycle Governorship Election draws nearer, a support group, Hope In Hope Nigeria, in partnership with Dominion Women have endorsed Governor Hope Uzodimma for second term in office.
The endorsement of the Governor was made last week Friday at the Imo State Art and Culture Centre,Owerri with the Director General of Hope In Hope Nigeria, Comrade Mmadu Marcellinus E. moving the motion for the endorsement of the Governor.
Mmadu noted that their reason for endorsing the Governor for second term in office was because of his unparallel giant and laudable achievements in the State ranging from quality road construction, rehabilitation, education, security, utility, commerce, industry, power, energy, youth rejuvenation, sports, health, agriculture, transport, tourism, information, among other achievements.
According to him, "the essence of this national endowment of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, is in recognition of his numerous achievements both in the State and the national level within three and half years in office...We can testify that since the emergence of the Governor as Chairman of Progressives Governors Forum and Chairman, South East Governors Forum, he has engineered South East and Imo State into becoming a centre of attraction courtesy of his people oriented policies and Programmes which have led to unprecedented development".
Mmadu added, "you can believe with me that through efforts as the Chairman of South East Governors Forum, he has made peace between Igbo traders in Lagos and Lagos State Government. Today, Igbos in Lagos State can go about their normal businesses without fear of any harassment from Lagos indigenes".
Stating that Uzodimma has surpassed his predecessors in terms of bringing actual development to Imo State and South East through good governance, Mmadu said Hope In Hope Nigeria pledged to be part of the process that will ensure that the APC Guber Candidate is re-elected as governor in the forthcoming poll.
He eulogized the Governor for serving the State and its citizens diligently having left no stone unturned from delivering democracy goodies to the people with a view to making their lives more better, calling on the Imolites to re-elect Governor Hope Uzodimma.
Giving lecture on "Hope Again", Member representing Orlu State Constituency in Imo State House of Assembly, Barr. Ikenna Ihezuo, said Uzodimma does things that always benefit Imo people, calling on the people to consider his good deeds and give him another mandate to enable him consolidate his good works. "He is the best person that governed Imo State. He is kind, humble and friendly".
The member representing Oru West State Constituency in IMHA, Barr Ezerioha Dominic, Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon. Emeka Okoronkwo, SA to the Governor on Election Management, Sir Martins Ejiogu, Hon Ferdinand Akano (an appointee of Governor), Comr Chisom Jude, Chairlady, Dominion Women, Hon. Mrs. Ijeoma Chukwu, promised that they will mobilize their groups to man the polling booths and secure victory for Governor Hope Uzodimma in the forthcoming election.
