Five Killed, 18 Vehicles Burnt As Fuel-laden Tanker Explodes In Delta


 

 

 








Our Reporters learnt that the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Sunday, Nigeria’s Independence Day.

At least five persons were killed following an explosion caused by a fuel-laden tanker in the Oghara area of Delta State on Sunday.

 

The spokesperson for the state police command, Bright Edafe told SaharaReporters that 18 vehicles were affected by the fire.

 

Our Reporters learnt that the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Sunday, Nigeria’s Independence Day.

 

However, the details of how the fire started were still sketchy at the time of filing this report.

 

“The fire incident that occurred at Oghara today, we have recorded five deaths. Eight buses, two tankers, five trailers, two cars and one motor cycle burnt completely. Details later,” Edafe wrote in a message sent to Our Reporters.
