A new Local Security Outfit operating within Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta Local Government Areas of Imo State known as "Say No To Crime" has disclosed that its operatives have given a hot chase to palm fruit thieves in the State owned palm plantation,Adapalm located in the oil producing region of the Eastern heartland.

Briefing newsmen on Thursday 22nd February, 2024 after parading four suspected  palm fruits plunderers in Adapalm, the Commander of "Say No To Crime" in Ohaji Egbema and Assistant Chief Security Officer of Adapalm plantation. Commandant Innocent Enyia  fondly called Breaker narrated how the activities of palm fruit thefts had earlier left the Imo State owned plantation in shamble stage before his men took centre stage and stitched all the loopholes where  the poachers use to penetrate into the.palm plantation.

He regretted that the poachers had done more harm than good in terms of revenue generation of Adapalm before the formation of his security outfit,Say No To Crime revealing that they have set up mercinaries in motion to ensure adequate security of lives and property in the palm plantation and Ohaji/Egbema in general.

"The  issue of palm fruits plundering has drastically reduced in Adapalm since our inception.
I urge youths to come forward  and seek for employment opportunities in Adapalm as the Company is eager and ready to employ as many as possible instead of indulging in stealing which is  destructive to them.
We will help the youths to facilitate and secure a meaningful employment here because the company is too large to accommodate them. They should avoid any action that will destroy their future and join us here to make the State a better place for all of us.
Henceforth, we are not going to tolerate any form of criminality within the plantation as anyone caught will face the full wrath of the law", the Commander warned.

The suspended poachers Arrested by the local Security Outfit include, Mr. Ukachukwu Joshua Chimaobi from Amaikpa Community in Okigwe, Mr. Godday Nwadike from Assa Community in Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area, Mr. Goodness Onyewuenyi and Mr. Divine Munachi both hail from  Aboh Mbaise  Local Government Area of Imo State.

Meanwhile, four of them owned-up to  the crime and pleaded to turn a new leaf if they are gainfully employed by the palm plantation company.

However,a white-man  who introduced himself as the Chief Security Officer of Adapalm stated that they have injected tactical measures in place that would hitherto end activities of poachers in the palm plantation reiterating the readiness of the Company to bring into its workforce any of the poachers who turns a new leaf.
