The information through the Police Officers on duty at Obibiezena Owerri North  Local Government Area of Imo State during the Anglican church Synod indicated that the police only safe the situation by not allowing any political fracas between the opposition Labour Party and the ruling All Progressive Congress APC members.
According to them, there was reports on thugs royal to the opposition Labour Party destructions of campaign posters belongs to the governor Senator Hope Uzodimma of All Progressive Congress APC which nearly left to the break down of law and order and eventually an arrest was made to stop further occurrence .

Having observed that the environment was charged for crisis and thereafter the Candidate of the Labour Party for the Governorship election Senator Athan Achonu's Convoy arrived and the police on the control stopped and explained to him that the area is intensity and the need for him to withdraw his interest or intention to continue to avoid political clashes between his party supporters and other Party members at the Anglican Diocese of Egbu Owerri Synod at Obibiezena Autonomous Community Owerri North Local Government Area.
It's disheartening to heard from a reliable sources how the Governorship Candidates of the Labour Party. Senator Athan Achonu in a social and circular media was casting aspersions on the police and police can't afford to relinquish our professional duty by serving individual interest.

"We are aware that the Imo State Governorship election is around the corner and there are alot of interest but the police must maintained neutral in the discharge of duty".
Senator Athan Achonu vituperation and  accusing fingers on some police officers on duty for discharging a lawful duty is  unfortunate and unpatriotic behaviours and should note that the police remained the friends of the public and will not witch-hunt anyone and must  beware and out to fight crimes and criminalities".
