Ihite-ukwa autonomous community in orsu local government area of imo state has declared one Mr Okorom Ikechukwu Emmanuel and Mr Egesi John wanted for their alleged involvement with the secessionist group Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the area.

The vigilante head of the community Mr. Vincent Amadi revealed that the fugitives were linked to the government proscribed group IPOB  stressing they have become a threat to the community and other citizens.

According to him, the entire community resolved to take this bold step to restore peace, sanity and confidence of the people, a lot of houses have been burnt since the insecurity crises erupted in 2020 while some of our son's and daughters abroad no longer come back to their village because of fear of the unknown.

We can not continue to run away from our homes, we are all out to flush out secessionist individual or group in the community, again, we do not want to see Mr. Okorom Ikechukwu Emmanuel and his cohorts  around the community or state as we are poised to arrest him anywhere we see him around the country.


Amadi further said they have also lodged a report to security authorities for  collaboration in apprehending the culprits, hence he warned other members of the group to quit or exist the community before they will be hunted out and prosecuted.
