Two Suspected Men Arrested For Murder Case Was Paraded By Police

Today in Imo state, been Tuesday, Feb.27th 2024 the Imo State Police Command ,at the State Headquarters Owerri, paraded two men for murder case 

The Imo PPRO ASP Okoye who  represented the Imo CP Aboki Danjuma expressed his worries over the bad news going on in the state,  as he condemned the  murder of the two people in not less than a month 

In a media parley which took place in Owerri the state capital by  PPRO.the Police also made it known that the  the police received  a distress call on the 7th of January,2024,  from Bishop Silas Anoruo who let the security operatives to know that their was a dead body of a lady who was dumped inside the gutter around Christ Church road in Owerri Municipal 

When the Police  visited the place,  the deceased body was found  right inside the gutter at Madumere Street, but was evacuated and deposited at the Owerri Specialist Hospital Mortuary for immediate autopsy after she was confirmed dead by medical team 

As investigation was on going, the police arrested the young man, Mr.Chinonye Nwaneri, from Umuodu Owerri, a resident of No.42 Christ Church road, (Madumere Street) in Owerri, for  allegedly Murdered his girlfriend (lover), Ms.Chinenye, whom he dumped inside the gutter around his residence 

He never accepted that he met with his Lover Chinenye a night before she was killed, and never knew she was killed the same night , he denied he never have anything for the killing of his "Lover" Ms Chinenye.

After several interrogation by the police he confessed to his evil deed.

In due time he will be charged to court for further trials after investigations, 


Another  related issue,  the Police has also arrested another young man, Mr.Nwachukwu Onwugha, a 27 years old, from Mgbara in Ohaji/Egbema LGA of Imo State, for stabbing a 57 years old man, Mr. Theophilus Uzuh, to death.

Today in a media chat with the said murderer, Mr.Nwachukwu, has confessed to his crime but stated that he was trying to defend himself when the man, late Mr.Theophilus, who was the owner of a palm plantation where he was hired to work, came and grabbed him which resulted into two fighting with various matches cutting themselves until he (Nwachukwu) ran away from the bush.

When asking him questions he said I never knew he died after I stabbed him. After the two fighting, I went home not knowing that I will be apprehended by the Police. Truly, I never plan to kill him. He pleaded for forgiveness. Asking police to hold him by his words.

Investigation is on going, PPRO said.
